Ekiti: Fayemi lost because he failed to honour his words –Prophet Olagunju

Prophet Wale Olagunju is of the Divine Seed of God Ministry, Sasha, Ibadan, Oyo State. He recently spoke with Daily Sun where he said Ekiti State Governor Kayode lost his re-election bid because he failed to honour the covenant he made with people of God:

“I was on the mountain between January and June, 2014. There, God revealed a lot of issues about the South West, including the governorship Ekiti State election to me. God told me that Governor Kayode Fayemi would lose. It was published in a soft sell magazine in March 2014.

“I sent a text message to Fayemi’s wife, his Chief of Staff, Mr. Yemi Adaramodu and Chief Bamidele Olumilua informing them of this prophecy. Fayemi did a good job in Ekiti and he ought to win, but it is the spiritual that controls the physical.

“In 2010, when they were at the Election Petition Tribunal in Ilorin, Kwara State, some people came to me. They were led by Chief Olumilua. I had earlier predicted that they would win but prayers were needed because the election could be rigged by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

“I asked them to allow me pray. I invited Fayemi. He came with the state executives of their party including the chaiman, vice chairman, secretary, treasurer and some elders to Ibadan.

“We spent our personal funds hosting them, praying and fasting. They promised to come back to show appreciation once the results went in their favour at the tribunal.

“But till date, they are yet to do anything. We have written several letters warning them that it is dangerous not to fulfill covenants made with God’s people. Ecclesiastes 5:3 says that it is better not make any convenant with a man of God than to make it and not fulfill it.

“That is why he lost. Ayodele Fayose should not have won. But he came on board to humilate Fayemi with the federal might. I am not happy because I warned Fayemi and his group severally that they should fulfill their promises or they would lose.

“When Fayose won, he declared it was the hand of God. How can the people of Ekiti suddenly turn their backs against Fayemi if not by divine intervention? They are accusing the PDP of rigging and are currently in court. They would lose.

“One day, they would remember that they failed with a 2010 agreement. Myself and the elders of our church sent several letters to Senator Bola Tinubu, the late ex-governor Lam Adesina of Oyo State and Fayemi among others.

“I was not the only one involved in the praying and fasting for them to win at the tribunal. We were about 130. We spent our personal money. My personal car and the church bus are still grounded. Fayemi should go back to God to redeem his promises he made.”

Jonathan and 2015
“President Goodluck Jonathan has made up his mind to seek re-election. He may not be coming out plain right now but he would do all he can to remain in office after 2015. He is not God’s anointed candidate. He was installed in a do-or-die manner by former President Olusegun Obasanjo through the ticket of Umaru Yar’adua.

“In fairness to Obasanjo, he gave opportunity for the South South to rule. Jonathan may stay in office till 2019. Even if he does, the Igbo nation will rise up and say that it is their turn. So also the North. Even if he wins the election, the crises in the country will not be abated. The only solution to the current crises is a total break up of the Nigeria into five namely; Hausa would break into two, the South South would stay, the Ibo Nation and the Yoruba nation.

“In Nigeria today, the Yoruba nation has been drawn back to a minority position despite the fact our leaders have paid prices in the past to unite the Nigerian State. It is high time they face the bitter truth that Nigeria ought to break up.”

2015: Buhari, Gov Kwankwaso’s supporters clash

The battle for the presidential ticket of the All Progressive Congress (APC) is creating tension in Kano State where the supporters of Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso and those of former Head of State, Major General Muhammadu Buhari, have clashed.

The state House of Assembly, dominated by the APC, has broken into two camps, each supporting Kwankwaso and Buhari.

The governor and former Head of  State are leading contenders for the APC presidential ticket.
Some members of the assembly, under the aegis of G34, had, late last week, endorsed Kwankwaso for the APC presidential ticket.

But signs that all was not well in the parliament emerged, yesterday, when a member of the group, Yusuf  Abdullahi Atta, dissociated himself and some of his other colleagues from the endorsement, declaring support for Buhari.

Kano State Deputy Majority leader, Yusuf Suleiman Babangida, who disclosed the G 34 endorsement of the state governor, on Thursday, declared that the current security situation in the country requires a man with courageous disposition of Kwankwaso to handle. ‘’The security of state and it’s citizens which is the first obligation that the law of the land places  upon leadership is deteriorating at all levels due to the collapse of the centre”, the lawmaker said.

Babangida, who played a prominent role in the election that brought Kwankwaso to power in 2011, stated,  “We the lawmakers in Kano House of Assembly, 34 of us precisely, hereby propose our leader, Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, for the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria”.

Babangida noted that his group’s  conviction emanated from the fact that “Kwankwaso is eligible to occupy the office of the President,’’ saying, ‘’We therefore consider this aspiration as the taste of every progressive mind who has concerns over the state of the nation. “

In a sudden twist, yesterday, Atta, representing Fagge local government in the assembly, distanced  himself and some of  Buhari’s loyalists during a popular radio political programme “Kowane Gauta”.

The lawmaker, during the political programme aired by a private station declared that Babangida’s statement did not enjoy his support and urged  Buhari loyalists to remain calm.

‘’For now, Kano has no candidate other than Gen. Buhari for presidency by 2015; anything short of this popular arrangements remain a deceit”, he said.

Atta, during the pay per second radio political programme, whose listeners cut across seven states in the North-west, affirmed that Kano would only consider any other option outside  Buhari except he stepped down his ambition.

Buhari and Kwankwaso have large but disciplined  and fanatical supporters in the state who are emotional about the 2015 presidential dream of their principals.

Two Students Of Yaba College Of Technology Killed In Gang Violence

Two students of the Yaba College of Technology in Lagos State have been killed in further incidents of cult violence, sources on the campus of the institution have told SaharaReporters.

Our student sources said the deaths occurred as rival cult gangs on the campus clashed over claims of seniority. On Wednesday, August 27, one student of the College identified as Peter Adetunji was reportedly shot dead by members of the Buccaneers cult, also called Alora. Eyewitnesses said the victim was shot on the head in front of the Student Union Building on the campus. Mr. Adetunji died of severe bleeding arising from the gunshot wound.

Our sources said that another student, who was identified by his alias of Burna Boy, was last Thursday in front of a First Bank Branch at Fadeyi bus stop near the WAEC headquarters. The location of the second killing is in the neighborhood of the college, which is Nigeria’s first major institution of higher learning.
Several students who spoke to SaharaReporters said they suspected that the latest victim, Burna Boy, was killed as a revenge attack for Mr. Adetunji’s murder on Wednesday.

Our sources said Peter Adetunji belonged to the Eiye Confraternity while Burna Boy was a member of the Buccaneers.

A part-time student at Yaba Tech said he and other students had avoided going to the school since the shooting attacks began in the middle of the week. “We are supposed to commence our examination this weekend, but some of us are afraid that another violent clash may occur,” said the source. He added: “Right now, our prayer is that the authorities at the school shift the examination [schedule] to a time when peace has returned.”

Yaba Tech has been dogged by violent cult clashes over its history. Some students alleged that numerous college officials at Yaba College of Technology are top members, sponsors and financiers of some cult groups. They also accused school officials of victimizing, even sacking, students who dare to protest or speak against the excesses of the cult gangs.

“What the gangs are doing now is score counting. They are now on one-to-one count,” said a student. “We do not know at what score of deaths they will stop at,” he added.
Several students said they had no hope of the cult violence abating unless the Federal Government steps in to fire school administrators and lecturers who are patrons of various cult gangs.

Psquare proves skeptics wrong with potent new singles

Despite the buzz, anticipation and build up to the release of the three songs released by pop duo Psquare on Friday, August 29, 2014, I was one of the few Nigerians that didn’t expect anything spectacular from the pop giants, partly because I’m not a fan of Dave Scott and T.I, and then because I no longer expect anything fantastic from our so called ‘Big artistes’.

They have all grown lazy and simply dish out weak lyrics, poorly produced beats and expect us to simply hop on it because they are superstars. Well, P-Square decided to prove me and other skeptics wrong this time around. First, they released the titles of the songs a few days ago, and judging from the titles, you’ll realise that they mean business. They clearly want to capture more of the local audience, otherwise how do you explain featuring T.I on a song titled ‘Eje Ajo’ (translated: Let’s dance)?...

By now, it’s a known fact that the late Micheal Jackson had a great influence on P-Square, which explains why they decided to release these set of songs on August 29, Micheal Jackson’s birthday (he would have been 56 years old). ‘Eje Ajo’ featuring American rapper T.I is an up-tempo dance song.

The video opens in a parking lot with Peter doing a couple of elementary dance routines with his dancers, then it moves on to a club scene with girls dancing. T.I then comes in to take the third verse. Overall, it’s a good song that’ll pass, even though I expected more from T.I....

This is a beautiful inspirational and motivational song with good lyrics. In this song, Dave Scott comes out strong, and in all fairness, P Square tried on this one, showing another side of their creative prowess.

The only problem with this kind of song is that the Nigerian audience tends not to appreciate it very much, as it’s the kind of song that may remind people of their problem. As time and trends have taught us, the Nigerian audience would usually rather listen to an uptempo party song, while attempting to drown their sorrow. ‘Shekini’ Oya ‘Shekini ni ni ni’.

This right here is the song. From the first second, it instantly inspires you to dance and forget your sorrows. You’ll definitely want to rock to this at clubs because it’s a hot beat, laced with friendly, relatable lyrics. And at this time, what could be better than a song that inspires you to do the ‘Shoki Dance’?

After all is said and done, P-Square surely mean business, and you can expect a fantastic sixth album from them in the coming weeks....
