Aregbesola, Omisore disagree on cabinet composition

Aregbesola and Omisore

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the Osun governorship election, Senator Iyiola Omisore, and the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola, have disagreed on the composition of the state executive cabinet.

Omisore had accused Aregbesola of peopling his cabinet with many non-Osun indigenes, whom he alleged take the resources of the state to develop their respective states.

But a Special Assistant to Governor Rauf Aregbesola, Bola Ilori, who hails from Ondo State, said Omisore’s media aide, Diran Odeyemi, served in the cabinet of ex-Governor of Oyo State, Chief Adebyo Alao-Akala.
A statement by Ilori, on Thursday, said: “Many people in Omisore’s media team are not from Osun. Ogun PDP donated rice and kerosene to his campaign, Lagos PDP donated posters, so, why say some people are not from Osun? We should not play politics of retrogression.
