Nigerian Breweries, manufacturer of
Amstel Malta, a low sugar drink, have announced the 3rd edition of its city led
youth platform, Amstel Malta Showtime with a new and redefined concept.
The luncheon event which held
recently at the Nigerian Breweries Headquarters, Iganmu, Lagos, had celebrities
present who promised to give their support for the show. Among them were; a
leading actress and Amstel Malta brand ambassador, Genevieve Nnaji; veteran
musician, Sound Sultan; popular comedian, Gordons; TV personality, Yvonne Vixen
and other prominent personalities.
The Corporate Affairs Adviser of
Nigerian Breweries, Mr. Kufre Ekanem, said, “Amstel Malta Showtime is aimed at
discovering potential and unique talents and as a brand that’s keen on
encouraging people to be the best they can be, Amstel Malta has put everything
in place to ensure these unique talents have the best platform to display their
potentials alongside renowned Nigerian entertainers”.
Amstel Malta Showtime, a unique
platform that brings together unique talents in dance, comedy, music and other
exceptional talents on one stage with the opportunity to showcase their unique
potentials to the world, was first premiered in 2011. The first edition
was held in 4 regions: Port Harcourt, Ibadan, Benin and Lagos while the second
edition held in Abuja, Lagos and Enugu in 2012.
The 2014 edition, which the company
said will be a concert drama, is billed to hold in two regions: Lagos and Enugu
and feature 5 talents that would be gotten via auditions from each region.
These talents will come together to
deliver an electrifying drama themed “The Rush” with special appearances from
Veteran musician, Sound Sultan; renowned comedian, Gordons and popular art
director, Ice Nweke, who will also serve as mentors and judges on this edition
of Amstel Malta Showtime.
