Despite the devastating fire that demolished
the original house on Tuesday, September 2, 2014, organisers of
the Big Brother Africa reality TV show have announced a new date for the show.
In a statement obtained by NET, organsiers said ‘M-Net and Endemol SA are
delighted to confirm that a new Big Brother house has been found in
Johannesburg, South Africa following the devastating fire that demolished the
original house earlier this month.
The search was concluded after exploring all
possible options both locally and internationally, for a suitable venue to
produce the 9th season of Africa’s biggest reality show.’
According to the
parent company of the continental pay TV company and partner, they are ‘pleased
to announce that Big Brother Hotshots will officially launch on Sunday, October
5, at 19:00 CAT.’
While urging fans across the continent to look forward to
some pleasant surprises in the true Biggie fashion, the show’s producers
announced that they wish to thank fans far and wide for their patience and
continuous support over the past few days.
