Pablo Zabaleta
has said he "can't believe that Diego Costa remained on the pitch" in
the same incident that saw the Manchester City defender sent off during
Sunday's 1-1 draw with Chelsea.
Zabaleta
received a second yellow card following a challenge on Costa, before the
striker reacted by leaping to his feet and confronting his opponent.
The Spain
international appeared to briefly put his hands around Zabaleta's neck, leading
the City man to take to Twitter to state his surprise that two red cards had
not been shown.
Chelsea
took the lead through Andre Schurrle shortly after Zabaleta's red card, before
Chelsea legend Frank Lampard, on loan from new MLS franchise New York City,
came on to score the equaliser against his old side.
