According to Section 249 (d) of the Criminal Code, Volume II
Laws of Ogun State 2006, Ogunnoiki, who reportedly criticized Amosun for
demolishing homes without remunerating property owners, could be arrested and
detained.
Wasiu Ogunnoiki, 31, was arraigned yesterday, September 2,
in Magistrate's Court 1 in Sagamu, allegedly for "engaging in acts capable
of denting the image" of Ogun State Governor Ibikunle Amosun on his
personal Facebook account.
According to Section 249 (d) of the Criminal Code, Volume II
Laws of Ogun State 2006, Ogunnoiki, who reportedly criticized Amosun for
demolishing homes without remunerating property owners, could be arrested and
detained.
The Nation Nigeria also reports that the accused, who is
said to be a motorcycle driver, pleaded not guilty to the two charges served
him.
