'Sometimes its good to lose' - Yaya Toure

Ivory Coast captain Yaya Toure believes the loss to Cameroon is not necessarily a bad thing.

The Elephants lost 4-1 to Cameroon on Yaoundé in what was a dominant display by the Indomitable Lions in a matchday two 2015 African Cup of Nations Qualifier on Wednesday.

Cameroon are thus in the pound seat at the end of the September international break, with six points following their 2-0 win at DR Congo last weekend.

Toure though believes it is not all doom and gloom for the Ivorian's who will now have time to regroup ahead of their clash with DR Congo next month.

“I think it appears to be a good thing to lose now and reorganise ourselves ahead of the upcoming games. When you lose early in such a campaign it helps to get yourself cool-headed and prepare for the next hostilities,” the Manchester City ace told SuperSport following the game against Cameroon.

“It is not over yet. Our initial objective is to qualify to the finals in Morocco and this has not changed. Our team is undergoing a reconstruction and we all know this might take a longer time than expected.”
