Grand Oak Limited, a leading marketer of alcoholic and non- alcoholic
brands has re-launched Swagga, a premium spirit brand with Gin and
Schnapps variants from its stable with a view to further strengthen its
positioning in the market.
Similarly, the company has launched into the competitive spirit
market the bitter variant of Swagga as a way of meeting the growing
demand of consumers in this market segment.
Speaking at the re-launch held at the conference room of Reliant
Distilleries Limited, a sister company to Grand Oak Limited and makers
of the spirit brand, Commercial Director of Grand Oak, Aare Fatai
Odesile said the re-launch was one of the several initiatives by GOL to
further strengthen the leadership of its brand across market segments.
Specifically, he said” we are doing this re-launch to further boost
the market leadership of Swagga which has gained acceptance and
popularity amongst the social economic groups with a discerning taste
for quality”.
Aare Odesile disclosed that Swagga brand is positioned as a value
brand with international standard production and branding in order to
attract low end consumers. The launch, he revealed will further excite
consumers, many of whom had demonstrated loyalty and support for the
brand over the years.
In his speech at the occasion, Managing Director of Grand Oak, Mr.
Akshay Kumar disclosed that Swagga was first launched into the market in
two variants- Swagga Dry Gin and Swagga Schnapps and has today gone a
step further with a new addition of the bitter variant while the ones
earlier introduced will wear new labels.
Swagga is a spirit brand designed for the value segment of Nigerians
who wants to enjoy their spirit brands without emptying their wallets.
The brand is available in 20cl and 12.5cl and is in high demand by the consumers.
The re-launch exercise will be supported with aggressive marketing and heavy merchandising.
