Nigerite wins ‘2014 Best Kept Industrial Premises’



Having been able to maintain a friendly environment practices in its work premise over the years, Nigerite Limited, a leading building component solutions company in Nigeria , has emerged the winner of Manufacturer's Association of Nigeria (MAN), award for' 2014 Best Kept Industrial Premises Competition.

The award is as a result of the yearly competition among all manufacturing companies including food and beverages, pharmaceuticals in Ikeja, organised by Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), Ikeja branch.

The award, which has been held for the past 15 years was presented to Nigerite during the association's 47th annual general meeting held recently at the MAN center Ikeja.

While speaking at the event, the National President of MAN, Dr. Frank Jacobs  who was represented by  the National Treasurer,  Reverend Isaac Agoye disclosed that the award  is a means of encouraging their members to maintain very clean environment despite their challenges. Agoye also commended Nigerite for setting an enviable standard for others to follow.

In an exclusive interview with TotalNews247, the Ikeja branch chairman of MAN, Prince Oba Okoje disclosed that some of the criteria they used to pick Nigerite as the winner of this year’s edition were cleanliness, planting of flowers, good drainages, workers’ dress code and others.

“I want to say a big congratulation to Nigerite. I also want to charge them to continue with the high level of cleanliness in their company, because it is not easy to win this award. For you to keep the trophy, you will need to work harder." He said

Nigerite Quality Safety Health and Environment Manager, Mr. John Bamigboye told TotalNews247 that Nigerite is a very responsible company and they believe in sustainability both in the present and in the future.

“For us, cleanliness is a habit. We have a lot in place to maintain a clean environment. We have different cleaning contractors at every department in our company," Bamigboye said.

He assured that Nigerite will not relax with this achievement, but will try as much as possible to win it again next year.

It will be recalled in 2013 that Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association’s (NECA) awarded Nigerite with the ‘Exceptional Safety and Health Standard Award.
