The Daily Express says Liverpool have entered the race to sign Manchester United target Coentrao.
The Portugal international is surplus to requirements at the Santiago Bernabeu, and looks set to leave Carlo Ancelotti's side in the upcoming January transfer window.
United had been leading the race for Coentrao's signature, but reports now claim that Brendan Rodgers has thrown his hat in the ring.
