Security to be tightened at Fayose’s inauguration – c’tee

Ado-Ekiti -  Chief Dipo Anisulowo, Chairman, Transition Committee for the swearing-in ceremony of the governor-elect, Mr Ayo Fayose, said on Thursday that adequate security would be put in place at the event.

Anisulowo, in a statement in Ado-Ekiti, said the ceremony would hold next Thursday at the popular Oluyemi Kayode Stadium at 10 a.m.

He assured eminent Nigerians, politicians and captains of industry who had been invited to witness the ceremony of security by the police and other security agencies.

Anisulowo was also the Chairman, Ayo Fayose Campaign Committee.

He said that hundreds of Nigerians, including members of various unions, Fayose’s friends, voters, political associates, lovers of democracy, artisans, drivers as well as market men and women had been invited.

“This is to inform all peace-loving people of Ekiti State, who voted overwhelmingly for Fayose on June 21, that God will perfect everything and the glorious day will come and the event will hold.

“Arrangement for the inauguration is ongoing and dignitaries from all walks of life, such as governors, ministers, members of the National Working Committee of the PDP, traditional rulers and other personalities are expected at the ceremony.

“All the people of Ekiti State are hereby enjoined to be prepared,’’ he said.

Anisulowo added that adequate security and logistic arrangements were being made, and urged the people to troop out in large number to show their love for their incoming governor.

He urged the residents not to be bothered by the antics of the opposition.(NAN)
